Full Job Description

Oertli & Pleschourt, LLP is searching for a Staff Accountant to primarily assist with preparing tax returns for our clients but may also include providing payroll and bookkeeping services as needed. This is a full time job and may require overtime to be put in around filing deadlines. This position will work side by side with our senior tax accountants and our lead bookkeeping staff to fulfill our clients needs.

Responsibilities:

Prepare income tax returns for both individuals and businesses
Assist with completing financial statements
Proficiency in account reconciliation
Complete month end close and journal entries
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and yearly tax deposits
Complete quarterly and year end payroll tax reports
Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines
Mature organizational, written and verbal communication skills

Skills:

Thorough knowledge of tax preparation
Knowledge of financial accounting
Detail oriented
Effective communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
Ability to function independently with minimal supervision
Must be willing to learn and use accounting and financial reporting software

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
