We're looking for a Staff Accountant with 3-5 years of accounting experience to join our finance team supporting a diverse portfolio of construction, recreational, and leisure businesses operating throughout Rochester, NY and multiple states. What You'll Do

As a Staff Accountant, you'll play a key role in maintaining the financial health of multiple operating companies by:

Preparing and reviewing monthly journal entries and account reconciliations
Assisting with month-end and year-end close processes
Preparing financial reports and supporting management with meaningful financial analysis
Maintaining general ledger accuracy and ensuring compliance with accounting standards
Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting
Supporting accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed asset accounting as needed
Assisting with annual audits, tax preparation, and regulatory reporting
Identifying opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls
Collaborating with operational leaders across several businesses to support informed decision-making
Taking on special projects that help drive growth and operational excellence

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
3-5 years of accounting experience
Strong understanding of general accounting principles
Experience with general ledger accounting and financial reporting
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems (QuickBooks a plus)
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
A desire to learn, grow, and take on increasing responsibility
