Shift & Training
This position begins on 1st Shift for paid training, giving you the opportunity to learn our welding procedures, equipment, quality standards, and production processes before transitioning to your permanent schedule.
Permanent Schedule:
2nd Shift
Monday–Friday | 3:00 PM–11:30 PM
After approximately one year, employees may request consideration for available 1st Shift opportunities based on business needs, performance, and openings.
What You'll Do
As a Welder/Fabricator, you'll perform skilled welding and fabrication supporting the production of large industrial engines.
Responsibilities include:
- Perform welding using approved welding procedures
- Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, engineering drawings, and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)
- Set up and weld large subassemblies and production components
- Perform layout, fit-up, tack welding, grinding, cutting, and assembly
- Weld in multiple positions
- Select filler metals and welding variables to control distortion and shrinkage
- Determine weld size and type when required
- Maintain tolerances up to 1/64"
- Support quality inspections, including magnaflux testing
- Assist with welding equipment setup and changeovers
- Work closely with Engineering and Quality teams to meet production standards
What You'll Be Welding
You'll work on:
- Large industrial engine components
- Heavy weldments
- Fabricated assemblies
- Low-volume, high-quality projects
Materials include:
- Aluminum
- Ductile iron castings
- Copper nickel
- Ferrous and non-ferrous materials
Material thickness ranges from 1/8" plate up to 2" heavy plate.
This position is ideal for welders who enjoy challenging fabrication work—not light, repetitive production welding.
What We're Looking For
- Strong MIG welding experience
- Aluminum welding experience strongly preferred
- Heavy fabrication experience
- Ability to read blueprints, weld symbols, engineering drawings, and WPS
- Experience with layout, fit-up, and assembly
- Experience using precision measuring tools, including calipers and micrometers
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to quality, safety, and craftsmanship
Candidates with experience in industrial welding, fabrication, manufacturing, or other hands-on welding environments are encouraged to apply.
Candidates must successfully complete required background and drug screening requirements.
