Full Job Description

We are hiring for Substitutes in the Kinnikinnick School District.

Substitutes are essential in ensuring students continue to learn and grow every day. Substitute Teachers may also be referred to as Substitute Educator, Guest Teacher or Relief Teacher.

Substituting is rewarding. We would love for you to join our team.

Minimum requirements:

Substitute Teacher:

Bachelors Degree

90 college credit hours AND actively enrolled in an approved educator preparation program through a regionally accredited institution in Illinois

60+ college credits (can only obtained Short-term Sub License)

Substitute Paraprofessional: High School Diploma/GED or higher

Responsibilities:

Assume duties of the district employee in accordance with school district lesson plans, school rules, and Kelly policies
Assist, support and work closely with the supervising district/school employees
Assisting students on classroom topics/courses
Building positive relationships
Assigning or re-enforcing tasks and homework
Empower students to learn, and encourage classroom participation
Assist in building a classroom environment that’s conducive to learning and appropriate to the ability and interests of students
Adapt to the various learning styles of students
For long-term teacher assignments, it may be required to develop lessons plans, as well as build, administer, and grade tests and assignments
