Full Job Description

Overview
Staff on Site is currently seeking Skilled Machine Operators for a company located in Rockton IL. Become a vital contributor to high-precision production processes. In this role, you will operate a variety of advanced machinery, ensuring that products meet stringent quality standards and specifications. Your expertise will help drive efficiency, safety, and excellence in our manufacturing operations.

Duties

Reads blueprints and production orders.
Arranges completed parts in an orderly manner and moves finished parts to the holding area.
Keeps appropriate production records.
Services the press brake as required and performs preventive maintenance on equipment.
Maintains cleanliness of work area and follows safe work practice rules.
Performs other miscellaneous duties as required
Accurately uses a square, rule and protractor.
Retrieves own parts and dies.
Completes own setups.
Verifies print to latest engineering revision and then verifies part is made to print specifications.
Inspects part for any nonconformities including those of a cosmetic nature (i.e. scratches, dents, deformities).
· Arranges completed parts in an orderly manner and moves finished parts to the holding area.
Keeps appropriate production records.
Services the press brake as required and performs preventive maintenance on equipment.
Maintains cleanliness of work area and follows safe work practice rules.
Performs other miscellaneous duties as required

Polisher Sets up and operates polishing lathes, hand grinders, square wheels, washers, and shakers to clean, grind, polish, wash, and buff beaters, machine pump cylinders, barrels, nose cones, scraper blades, feeder tubes, rear bars, center rings, covers, and baffles. Applies polished and grain finishes to hoods and doors. Grinds, polishes, blends, and deburrs surfaces on grills, TEOs, pizza ovens, and other cooking equipment according to specifications.

Laser Operator Sets up and operates CNC laser cutting machines to cut sheet metal to exact specifications. Supports production by assisting other CNC operators, maintaining equipment, and managing material staging and housekeeping.

Flat Iron Solder Reads blueprints and production orders to determine setup requirements and retrieve parts. Cuts, bends, cleans, and prepares copper tubing for soldering. Uses grinders and cleaning tools to prepare surfaces for proper bonding. Operates gas-fired soldering equipment, acid, and soft solder to attach copper coils to mix tanks and barrels, maintaining correct temperatures to ensure quality bonds. Inspects, washes, and moves finished parts to designated areas. Operates and maintains parts-washing equipment. Performs routine maintenance on tools, keeps work area clean and safe, and assists with other production or cross-training tasks as needed.

Debur Operator Sets up and operates an automatic deburring machine to deburr parts according to production specifications and quality standards. Performs miscellaneous sheet metal machine operations and must be able to train on first shift for the first 4-6 weeks.

CNC Press Brake Operators for second shift. Must be able to train on first shift for 4-6 weeks. Sets up and operates a CNC press brake to bend and form various sizes, shapes, and types of sheet metal parts according to blueprints and production standards.

Shift: 5am-3:30pm, Monday-Thursday. Overtime availability on Friday is required.

Skills:

Education: Three months’ commercial, vocational, or other specialized training beyond high school.

Experience: Three to four years related work experience.

Manual Dexterity: Work requires moderate speed and accuracy.

Physical Effort: Work requires mostly moderate but some heavy muscular effort or difficult work positions.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
