FlexTrades is hiring Flux Core Welders to fabricate, fit, and weld large pressure vessels and steel tanks. This role plays a critical part in producing high-quality products by performing precision fabrication, welding, and quality-focused workmanship while following established welding procedures and safety standards.

Responsibilities
- Lay out, fit up, tack, fabricate, and weld large pressure vessels and steel tanks.
- Perform Flux Core welding on vessel components including nozzles, legs, footpads, manways, and repads.
- Complete fillet and groove welds on carbon steel and stainless steel materials.
- Weld dissimilar materials including stainless-to-carbon and stainless-to-stainless combinations.
- Perform vertical uphill and multi-pass welding on plate thicknesses up to 3/4 inch.
- Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, weld callouts, and welding procedures.
- Measure, lay out, and verify dimensions using tape measures and fabrication tools.
- Grind, clean, and finish welds to quality requirements.
- Complete quality checks and required documentation throughout the fabrication process.
- Operate forklifts and overhead cranes after company-provided training.
Qualifications
- Experience as a Flux Core Welder in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong fit-up and fabrication experience.
- Experience welding carbon steel and stainless steel materials.
- Experience welding dissimilar metals.
- Ability to perform vertical uphill welding.
- Experience with multi-pass welding on thick materials.
- Ability to read blueprints and weld drawings.
- Knowledge of weld symbols and weld callouts.
- Ability to use tape measures and common fabrication tools.
- Pressure vessel or ASME Section VIII Division 1 experience preferred.
Pay and Benefits:
- Pay: $34//hour
- Guaranteed Overtime Each Week paid at time and a half
- Access to a full suite of benefits

- Per diem ($45/day)
