Full Job Description

Summary/Objective

Under general direction, the Facilities Supervisor is responsible for day-to-day maintenance functions. Ensure facility operations comply with applicable safety, environmental, and operational requirements and regulations and meet the company’s standards. This is a working supervisor position.

Key Responsibilities:

· Maintenance Operations – Direct and supervise the maintenance and repair of equipment, machines, buildings, and grounds for all sites.

o Set the daily work schedule for: Maintenance Technicians.

o Implement and assess employee safety and operational training requirements.

o Receive maintenance and repair requests and work orders verbally or through written or online format; dispatch team members or respond and correct the request for service personally based on priority; ensure all online maintenance records are updated.

o Requisition of materials, supplies, equipment, or replacement parts; approve purchases up to approved limits; develop and document inventory program for parts and tools.

o Update maintenance and equipment preventative maintenance records for assessment and reporting purposes.

o Provide guidance and direction regarding policies and procedures to the maintenance team.

· Human Resources –

o Coach and develop supervised employees to established industry standards and company expectations.

o Coordinate and monitor daily personnel activities including scheduling of employees to ensure a productive workflow.

o Triage concerns, document and escalate personnel concerns to the facilities department manager; participate in coaching/ corrective action process.

· Maintenance –

o Perform and execute responsibilities to include, but not limited to, inspecting, operating, adjusting, calibrating and testing machinery and mechanical equipment, performing a wide variety of maintenance tasks, repairing machines, equipment or structures.

o Schedule repair, installation or maintenance activities; determine assignments for work activities based on work priority and skill of personnel.

· Environmental Health and Safety –

o Ensure all employees work in a safe and environmentally conscious manner and are trained in established standard operating procedures and policies.

o Ensure all employees fully utilize required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriate for the task.

o Maintain required training records for compliance with company, state and federal regulations

o Coordinate with EHS department on the requirements and training to work at small and large quantity hazardous waste generating facilities in compliance with state and federal regulations.

o Complete assigned supervisor training.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position will supervise the Maintenance Technicians under the oversight of the Facilities Manager.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position with hours from Monday through Friday, starting from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM. Evening and weekend work may be required based on job demands.

Work Environment:

This job requires contact with hazardous materials, potential confined space, driving and working in adverse weather conditions, and extensive travel to local and long-distance sites. The job requires working unscheduled and frequent overtime before and after standard scheduled work hours. The job works in a loud environment around equipment and machinery. Uses an app based facilities management program for basic reporting.

Physical Demands:

This job requires heavy physical activity performing strenuous daily activities of a primarily production/technical nature. The employee must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and be able to stand or sit for extended periods of time, use ladders, kneel, crawl, use hand tools, power tools.

Travel:

This position will be based in West Sacramento, with extensive travel to other eFUEL & Ramos Oil locations and/or customer sites as required. Must maintain a satisfactory driving record per company policy with the ability to operate company vehicles.

Required Education and Experience:

1. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); plus, 5 years of related maintenance experience preferably in the petroleum industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Possession of a valid California driver's license. Ability to be insured to operate company vehicles.

Preferred Knowledge and Skills:

1. Have or the ability to obtain ICC Service Technician / ICC Vapor Recovery certifications for fuel facilities.

2. Experience installing hanging hardware (i.e., fueling hoses, breakaways, nozzles).

3. Experience installing or replacing sensors and probes at a fuel facility.

4. Mechanical knowledge of motors, machines, pumps and tools used in the maintenance and repair of minor and major equipment systems.

5. Knowledge of methods used in maintenance including the following trades: carpentry, plumbing (water & fuel), HVAC, and electrical wiring.

6. Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote a safe environment for the public and employees.

OSHA 24-hour training certificate

8. OSHA 30 – General Industry
