Full Job Description

We are seeking a motivated, team-oriented Perfusionist to join our established 10-person private practice perfusion group supporting a busy and growing cardiac surgery program.

Our primary program performs approximately 1,200 cardiac cases annually, and we have recently expanded with the opening of a satellite heart program, creating an exciting opportunity to join our team during a period of continued growth.

About Our Program

This is a high-volume, high-acuity program with experienced, efficient surgeons and a diverse surgical case mix. Our perfusionists are involved in everything from routine adult cardiac surgery to some of the most complex cases in cardiac surgery and mechanical circulatory support.

Our case mix includes:

CABG and valve surgery

Complex aortic and redo procedures

Heart transplantation

Ventricular Assist Devices (VADs)

Mechanical circulatory support

Other complex and emergent cardiac procedures

With a 10-person perfusion team, we value teamwork, clinical excellence, efficiency, and the ability to remain composed in a fast-paced environment. Our group works closely with surgeons, anesthesia, nursing, and the rest of the cardiac surgery team to provide exceptional patient care.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a perfusionist who is clinically strong, dependable, adaptable, and comfortable working in a busy cardiac surgery environment. The ideal candidate enjoys being part of a close-knit private practice group while also wanting exposure to a broad range of cases and advanced cardiac therapies.

Both experienced perfusionists and strong new graduates are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited cardiovascular perfusion program

ABCP certification or eligibility for certification

Ability to obtain appropriate state licensure, if applicable

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary cardiac surgery team

Comfortable with a fast-paced and high-acuity surgical environment

Commitment to excellent patient care and professional growth
