Full Job Description

Newbridge Health & Wellness is currently looking for an experienced infusion RN, Paramedic or Nurse Practitioner to work in our clinic’s IV suite, Part-time /, but could work up to Full-Time over time. Newbridge is an established integrative / functional medicine practice located in Edina, MN. At Newbridge we practice with passion, caring, cutting edge science, and integrity, and provide the highest quality, individualized care to all of our patients and their families.

We focus on using a personalized, holistic, integrative and functional approach to health and healing. We are seeking employees that embrace functional medicine and a healthy lifestyle and/or have a true desire to upgrade their lifestyle and become a reflection of our practice in order to best serve patients.

Duties include: IV starts daily on both adults and children, infusion administration and preparation, phlebotomy and lab services, inventory management, customer service, marketing (with support from our marketing team), juggling patients at different points in their infusions, and maintaining the lab and clinic space. An ideal applicant will be detail oriented, have experience with infusions in a hospital, clinic, surgical or infusion setting, and enjoy working with people in a holistic, lower stress environment.

Accurately obtain a peripheral IV catheter placement as directed by Newbridge policies and procedures
Demonstrates commitment to principles of the patient care model and achieving the Newbridge vision and strategy.
Communicates effectively with patient/family, providers, the interdependent team, and other disciplines regarding the plan of care.
Assesses and documents needs of the patient and family. Develops an individualized education plan for patients and families based on identified needs.
Actively participates in creating and implementing improvements at the point of care to achieve clinical quality, customer experience, and efficiency and effectiveness outcomes.
Complies with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, board requirements, patient safety requirements, infection control practices, and other established practice standards, policies, guidelines, and procedures.
Coordinates the interdependent team while promoting collaborative teamwork and cooperation.
Actively participates in the development and achievement of department goals (safety, cost, quality, patient experience, employee engagement).
Maintains knowledge of, and complies with, all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures and standards.
Performs other responsibilities as needed/assigned.
Patient Safety: Demonstrates practices that support safety with recognition of variations in populations served, preventing harm to patients, families, employees, and themselves.
Professional Practice: Demonstrates behavior consistent with the standards, scope of practice, ethics, and characteristics of a licensed professional.
Computer Skills: Basic ability to use a computer and applications that are associated with performing basic work tasks (navigate in Windows, EHR, Google Productivity suite, Microsoft Office Applications).
Commitment to learning functional medicine terminology and principles of nutritional IV therapy.

Preferred requirements:

2 years experience with starting / inserting IVs with excellent proficiency with both adults and children.

Must be extremely proficient with even the most difficult of blood draws/IV insertions in order to apply.

Experience:

Passion for functional, holistic or integrative nursing / medicine.

Patient care support and multi-tasking medical office duties.

Duties:

IV procedures, administrative and patient care duties.

Drawing blood and accurately entering blood orders.

Administering and preparing nutritional IV nutrient drips.
