ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Medical Assistant at Neaman Wellness Center, you will play an essential role in delivering an exceptional patient experience from the moment patients arrive through every step of their wellness journey.
You will work closely with our physician and healthcare team to provide compassionate, high-quality clinical care while helping patients feel supported, informed, and empowered to reach their health goals.
This is a hands-on position that combines clinical skills, patient education, preventative care, chronic disease management, and wellness support in a collaborative environment.

PATIENT CARE & CLINICAL SUPPORT
- Welcome patients and create a warm, caring, and professional environment
- Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical histories, medication reconciliation, and health updates
- Prepare patients for examinations, treatments, and procedures
- Assist the physician during patient visits and minor in-office procedures
- Perform injections, phlebotomy, point-of-care testing, and other duties within scope of practice
- Assist with specimen collection and laboratory processing
- Provide patient education regarding medications, treatment plans, nutrition, exercise, chronic disease management, hormone therapy, and wellness programs
- Answer patient questions and serve as a trusted resource throughout their healthcare journey
- Support preventative care initiatives and annual wellness visits
DIRECT PRIMARY CARE & WELLNESS SUPPORT
- Help coordinate ongoing care for Direct Primary Care members
- Assist with chronic disease management and follow-up care
- Support patients participating in weight management and wellness programs
- Assist with hormone optimization and other wellness services within scope
- Coordinate laboratory testing, referrals, prescriptions, and follow-up appointments
- Build lasting relationships with patients through continuity of care
- Encourage patient engagement and accountability in achieving health goals
DOCUMENTATION & CARE COORDINATION
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation within the electronic medical record
- Review laboratory results and ensure provider follow-up is completed
- Assist with patient messaging, telephone calls, prescription refill requests, and care coordination
- Communicate effectively with providers, pharmacies, specialists, and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality at all times
CLINIC OPERATIONS
- Prepare and maintain exam and treatment rooms
- Ensure rooms remain clean, stocked, and organized
- Monitor clinical supplies and assist with inventory management
- Maintain infection prevention and sterilization standards
- Complete quality control documentation and equipment maintenance logs
- Support a clean, efficient, and welcoming clinical environment

QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Current Medical Assistant Certification
- Minimum of one year of clinical Medical Assistant experience
- Strong customer service and patient communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong written, verbal, and telephone communication skills
- Experience with phlebotomy, injections, and patient education
- Ability to maintain professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
Preferred
- Primary Care experience
- Direct Primary Care experience
- Internal Medicine or Family Practice experience
- Wellness or Lifestyle Medicine experience
- Weight management experience
- Hormone Replacement Therapy experience
- Chronic disease management experience
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience
- Bilingual (Spanish)
