Full Job Description

Our well-established and long-time client is PARTNERING with STAFFING PARTNERS in search of an experienced Shop Foreman for this IMMEDIATE FULL TIME DIRECT HIRE CAREER OPPORTUNITY.

SALARY – $40.00 to $50.00 per hour DOE

LOCATION - Stanislaus County to include Oakdale, Modesto, Ceres, Turlock, etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervise and coordinate all activities of fabricators & welders in the shop
Responsible for safety
Responsible for administering discipline to assigned employees
Directly supervise employees in work task to verify and ensure conformance to specifications, drawings, procedures, and quality, schedule, and budget.
Interpret specifications, blueprints, sketches and work orders to employees.
Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of customer product.
Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of workers.
Assist workers in solving work problems.
Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
Hire and train employees
Perform planning, assigning, and directing of work.
Address complaints and resolve them.
Planning and preparing a fabrication shop schedule of all known and anticipated work, based on staffing and material resources.
Monitor and support all shop projects maintaining high quality, on time delivery, safety and staying within budget.
Understanding and adhering to the defined scope of work.
Following company procedures regarding material procurement and return; preplanning equipment and material needs.
Must be able to accomplish fabrication shop work in an efficient manner.

QUALIFICATIONS:

5-10 years of experience as a supervisor of (10) or more fabricators.
5-10 years of “hand-on” experience in the layout, fitting, and welding of structural steel, pipe, plate and sheet metal.
Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
Experienced in QA/QC programs and procedures
Expert level knowledge of all welding methods, procedures, and quality control.
Working knowledge of all tools and equipment i.e. saw, iron workers, shears, breaks, welding equipment, plasma.
Knowledge of design principles, AMSE/AWS codes, and safety standards.
The ability to communicate and work effectively with managers, field personnel, customers and employees.
Certified MIG, TIG and SMAW.
Ability to operate plasma, breaks, iron workers, and other shop equipment.
Detail oriented.
