Radiology Technologist (X-Ray / CT / MRI) – Orthopedic Practice

Location: SALINA ORTHO Salina, KS
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 8-5 Friday, 8-12

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Radiology Technologist to support our busy private orthopedic practice. This role offers a unique blend of diagnostic imaging and direct patient care, including rooming patients and assisting with clinical workflow.

The right individual will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, flexible across duties, and committed to delivering efficient, high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

Imaging Duties

Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging, including:
Digital X-rays (required)
CT scans (if certified)
MRI scans (if certified)
Ensure proper patient positioning, shielding, and safety protocols
Follow orthopedic-specific imaging protocols and physician orders
Maintain compliance with radiation safety standards
Operate and maintain imaging equipment
Accurately document and upload images into PACS/EMR systems

Clinical / Patient Care Duties

Room patients and prepare them for evaluation by providers
Obtain and document vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints
Assist physicians and clinical staff with patient flow and procedures
Prepare exam rooms and ensure proper stocking of supplies
Provide patient education related to imaging procedures when needed
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient clinical environment

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
ARRT certification (RT(R)) required
CT (ARRT-CT) and/or MRI (ARRT-MR) certification preferred
Current state licensure (State of Kansas)
BLS certification preferred
Prior experience in orthopedic, outpatient, or clinic-based setting strongly preferred
Ability to multitask and transition between imaging and clinical duties
Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-first mindset
