Job Overview (Onsite)
Busy property management company in Watsonville is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper / Office Manager to oversee all financial and administrative functions within our organization. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate financial record-keeping, compliance with GAAP, and smooth office operations, supporting the organization’s overall financial health and administrative needs.

Duties

Manage full-cycle bookkeeping including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations; identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
Maintain and update financial software such as QuickBooks and other relevant platforms.
Handle payroll processing and related tax filings; ensure timely payments and compliance with governmental regulations.
Oversee budgeting processes, expense tracking, and financial report writing for internal use or external reporting requirements.
Conduct journal entries, account analysis, and double-entry bookkeeping to ensure integrity of financial data.
Manage office administrative functions including correspondence, record keeping, and supply management.
Ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards related to nonprofit or corporate accounting as applicable.
Support audits by preparing necessary documentation and providing detailed account analysis as needed.

Qualifications

5+ years of proven experience in full-charge bookkeeping or accounting roles within corporate or nonprofit environments.
Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks and other financial management tools.
Strong understanding of GAAP principles, governmental accounting (if applicable), and technical accounting concepts.
Experience with balance sheet reconciliation, bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, journal entries, and general ledger accounting.
Knowledge of payroll processing, tax regulations related to payroll taxes, accounts payable/receivable management.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks accurately under deadlines.
Basic proficiency in 10-key typing for data entry tasks.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in financial report writing and account analysis.
Yardi experience helpful.

Schedule is Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm.

***Only candidates within a 15 miles radius of Watsonville, CA will be given highest priority to client.
