Full Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will support the Director of Human Resources and HR functions by managing employee records, assisting with recruitment efforts, coordinating onboarding processes, and ensuring compliance with employment laws. Your proactive approach will help foster a positive work environment that aligns with our mission to serve our staff effectively.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Communicates effectively with all Epiphany staff and personnel associated with other organizations.
Support onboarding and employee orientation programs to ensure new team members integrate smoothly into the organization.
Maintain accurate HRIS (Human Resources Information System) data entry and manage employee records confidentially.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly.
Help administer benefits programs such as workers' compensation, health insurance, and retirement plans.
Support compliance as related to employment & labor laws, OSHA regulations, and FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act) and other types of employment leaves.
Effectively presents information in one-on-one situations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Associate College Degree (AA) or higher.
Prefer a minimum of 2 years in Human Resources or related experience/training in a clerical/administrative position.
Familiarity with HRIS platforms and experience with payroll systems like Paylocity is a plus.
Strong ability to organize, plan and prioritize work activities and organizational events.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to learn and implement federal, state, and local laws and ordinances.
Ability to demonstrate good knowledge of Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel and ability to learn additional software such as Paylocity.
Performs effectively and professionally under pressure.
Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently using project management tools and data collection techniques.
Knowledge of recruiting strategies, social media management for talent sourcing.
Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to change management initiatives and support strategic planning efforts.
Must meet agency conditions for employment including requirements for Child Abuse Index and Fingerprinting clearances.
