Job Overview

Join our dynamic ophthalmology team as an Ophthalmic Technician, where your expertise will directly enhance patient care and clinical efficiency. In this vital role, you will assist ophthalmologists in conducting diagnostic testing with specialized equipment, and ensure that every patient receives attentive, professional service. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help us deliver exceptional eye care experiences while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and safety. Duties

Operate ophthalmic diagnostic imaging equipment such as A-scan biometry and other ophthalmic diagnostic tools with precision and care.
Assist with clinical procedures using aseptic technique to ensure patient safety and maintain compliance with clinical confidentiality policies.
Maintain patient confidentiality by adhering strictly to HIPAA regulations and safeguarding medical records at all times.
Provide exceptional patient service through clear communication, compassionate care, and ensuring a comfortable environment during ophthalmic examinations.

Experience

Prior medical office experience with a focus on ophthalmology or optometry is highly preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of anatomy related to the eye and physiology principles relevant to ophthalmic diagnostics.
Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR/EHR) management systems for accurate documentation and data entry.
Understanding of medical terminology related to eye health, vision conditions, and clinical procedures.
Ability to perform direct patient care with professionalism, empathy, and attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.
Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards and maintaining strict confidentiality of medical records and patient information.
