As our company continues to grow, we are looking for a hardworking and motivated Tile Helper who is eager to learn the trade and build a long-term career in the tile and stone industry.
Position Overview
The Tile Helper plays a key role in supporting our tile setters and field crews by assisting with daily jobsite operations, material preparation, jobsite organization, and general labor tasks. This position offers an excellent opportunity to learn the tile and stone trade while working alongside experienced professionals on high-end residential and commercial projects.
Reports To: Lead Tile Setter / Tile Setter in Charge
The Tile Helper will report directly to the Lead Tile Setter or Tile Setter in Charge and will assist with all aspects of daily field operations while maintaining IHTS quality standards and jobsite professionalism.
Responsibilities
* Assist tile setters with all phases of tile and stone installations.
* Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment.
* Mix thinset, mortar, grout, and other installation materials.
* Prepare work areas and assist with jobsite setup.
* Perform demolition and surface preparation as directed.
* Cut and organize materials when instructed.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organized jobsite.
* Clean and maintain company tools and equipment.
* Assist with unloading and staging material deliveries.
* Follow instructions from the Lead Tile Setter and Field Operations Manager.
* Maintain a professional attitude when interacting with homeowners, contractors, and other trades.
* Follow all company safety procedures and jobsite rules.
* Perform other construction-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
* Previous construction experience is required.
* Previous tile and stone experience is a plus but not required.
* Must be fluent in Spanish.
* Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
* Reliable and punctual.
* Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team.
* Ability to follow directions and learn new skills quickly.
* Valid California driver’s license and reliable transportatio. * Ability to lift 75+ pounds repeatedly.
* Comfortable working on active construction sites and using basic hand and power tools.

* Competitive pay: $20.00–$25.00 per hour, depending on experience.
