Full Job Description

Job Summary

The best HR professionals are the people employees trust and managers rely on to keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes. We are partnering with a long-standing, family-owned organization to identify a Human Resources Generalist who will take ownership of key employee lifecycle activities, including onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, leave management, payroll support, and recruiting. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-directed HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys wearing multiple hats, and is motivated by the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working with an experienced, hands-off leader who values initiative and accountability.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the full onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a positive and organized employee experience.
Administer and track employee benefit programs while serving as a liaison between employees, brokers, and benefit providers.
Coordinate and manage Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and Paid Family Leave (PFL) administration.
Process wage garnishments and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
Maintain employment records and ensure completion and compliance of I-9 documentation.
Serve as a resource for employee relations matters, providing guidance and support to employees and management.
Assist with recruitment efforts, including candidate sourcing, scheduling, interviewing coordination, and onboarding activities.
Support HR compliance initiatives and maintain accurate employee documentation.
Partner with management to address employee concerns and foster a positive workplace culture.
Provide backup payroll support utilizing ADP payroll systems.
Assist with benefits enrollment, employee questions, and annual benefit administration activities.
Support seasonal workforce fluctuations and changing staffing demands.
Participate in HR projects and process improvement initiatives.
Perform additional human resources responsibilities as assigned.

Education

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.

Experience

Previous Human Resources experience required.
Experience with employee onboarding and benefits administration strongly preferred.
Experience handling FMLA, PFL, wage garnishments, and employee relations issues preferred.
Experience supporting payroll processes using ADP is highly desirable.
Recruiting experience is beneficial.

Skills and Knowledge

Strong understanding of human resources practices and employment regulations.
Experience working with benefit programs and vendor relationships.
Working knowledge of payroll administration and ADP systems.
Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Excellent interpersonal and employee relations skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Ability to adapt quickly and shift priorities in a dynamic environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision.
Detail-oriented with excellent follow-through and accountability.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
