Job Title: Lead Metal Roofing Installer / Foreman (Relocation Assistance Available)

Location: Sandpoint, ID 83864 (In-person)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40/hr+ (based on experience)

Schedule: 40 to 50 hours a week.

About Us & The Opportunity

Skyright Roofing and Gutters is a fast-growing exterior contractor based in Sandpoint, Idaho. We specialize in high-quality roofing and gutter solutions and are known for our commitment to craftsmanship and customer satisfaction. We pride ourselves on our in house metal fabrication, offering everything from rolling panels to making custom trim packages. We are currently hiring a highly skilled Lead Metal Roofing Installer / Foreman to join our expanding team.

We are looking for the absolute best talent in the country to lead our frontline crews; this is a national search. If you have the considerable standing seam experience we need and the leadership skills to run a crew smoothly, we want to speak with you! Relocation assistance is available.

The Role

This is a frontline management and installation position for a highly skilled professional with a track record of developing elite crews. You will be the boots-on-the-ground leader responsible for driving the project forward and mentoring your team. We are looking for a skilled leader who is passionate about training others in their trade.

Key Responsibilities

Manage Crew Productivity: Keep your team on task, motivated, and hitting daily production goals.
Team Development & Training: Act as a dedicated trainer for your installers, identifying skill gaps and mentoring team members to elevate the overall technical ability of the crew.
Hands-On Leadership: Install and remove metal roofing systems on residential and commercial buildings. Work alongside your crew operating specialized equipment and executing complex architectural details (flashing, valleys, coping, penetrations).
Ensure Install Quality: Oversee the flawless installation of standing seam metal to meet all structural, weatherproofing, and aesthetic standards. Your eye for detail prevents leaks and callbacks.
Communicate & Report Problems Early: See around corners. Communicate regularly with the production team regarding project progress. Identify potential issues with the deck, details, or materials early so the manager can solve them before they slow you down.
Maintain Safety & Organization: Enforce job site safety standards to ensure everyone goes home safe. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of tools, trailers, and shop supplies.

Qualifications & Experience

Considerable Experience Required: 5+ years of dedicated, hands-on experience installing standing seam metal systems (architectural sheet metal).
Leadership & Trainer Mindset: Proven track record of managing and developing crews, with a passion for teaching the trade and improving team performance.
Autonomy: Ability to make smart, field-level decisions and solve complex installation problems without being micromanaged.
Technical Mastery: Deep knowledge of hidden fastener systems, thermal movement, panel seaming, and designing custom trims and field fabrication.
Physical Capability: Strong problem-solving skills, comfortable working at heights, and capable of lifting heavy materials.
Logistics: Valid Driver’s License (required).
