Full Job Description

Position summary: The Plant Manager is responsible for providing leadership and overall management of manufacturing operations at either the Sandusky, Fremont or Bellevue Plant. He/she will manage budgets, staffing, production rates, quality assurance, safety, training, logistics, plant maintenance, logistics, salvage, warehouse and customer service.

Essential functions:

· Achieve outstanding performance in customer satisfaction, quality, delivery time and cost.

· Monitor expense and revenues to ensure budget and production benchmarks are met.

· Assist Business Services Manager in contracts development to ensure accurate and competitive cost estimates and price bids for products and services.

· Review daily, weekly and monthly production reports and recommend improvements to increase revenue, output, quality or safety.

· Ensure compliance with ISO 9000, OSHA, CARF and other required standards for industrial quality and safety. Assist in establishing quality standards for each new contract.

· Respond to customer inquiries, problems and complaints and resolve issues to maintain customer satisfaction. Inform senior management of feedback from customers on the quality of services rendered and recommendations for product or services development.

· With Workforce Development staff, ensure that rehabilitation consumers are given consideration and appropriate accommodation and coaching are provided for all work assignments.

· Pursue professional career development through continuing education and training opportunities; increase knowledge/understanding of industry trends, innovative approaches, and business forecasting to grow Goodwill business services.

· Maintain regular and reliable attendance and punctuality.

· Attend safety trainings and follow all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe and supervised work environment for all employees at all times.

· Promote positive teamwork among co-workers.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and required skills:

· Excellent math skills; understanding of basic finance and budgeting; ability to compute rate, ratio and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

· Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

· Excellent customer service skills and ability to build network with Goodwill customers and public.

· Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office; payroll and other Goodwill specific software.

· Valid driver’s license with good driving record and proof of current automobile insurance required every six months.

Education and experience:

· High school diploma or GED required; Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Logistics preferred.

· 5 years senior level experience in manufacturing or business operations.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
