Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Technical Support Specialist to join our team and deliver exceptional IT support across various platforms and systems. In this role, you will be the frontline problem solver, providing technical assistance to users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring smooth operation of IT infrastructure. Your expertise will help empower our organization by maintaining reliable technology services, fostering a positive user experience, and supporting our digital environment’s integrity. Responsibilities

Respond promptly to help desk tickets and customer inquiries via ServiceNow, Jira, or other ticket management systems, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
Provide comprehensive technical support for desktop hardware, peripherals, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and mobile devices.
Troubleshoot network connectivity problems including LAN, WAN, VPN, DNS, TCP/IP protocols, firewalls, and network equipment such as Meraki devices.
Support computer management tasks such as Active Directory management, Group Policy Object (GPO) configuration, and user account administration.
Assist with software troubleshooting for applications like Microsoft Office suite and enterprise tools; perform hardware diagnostics and equipment troubleshooting.
Manage help desk systems efficiently by documenting issues accurately and following up on unresolved tickets to ensure customer satisfaction.
Collaborate with IT infrastructure teams to support Windows Server environments, Linux servers, network administration tasks, and overall system health monitoring.

Qualifications

Proven experience in technical support roles with strong knowledge of computer networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls, and LAN/WAN configurations.
Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows (including Windows Server), macOS, and Linux; experience supporting mobile devices is a plus.
Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware components like computer hardware components and peripherals; familiarity with equipment like BMC Remedy or ServiceNow is advantageous.
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users; excellent customer service orientation is essential.
Experience managing help desk tickets using tools like Jira or ServiceNow; ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of Active Directory management, SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager), GPOs, DNS configuration, and network administration best practices.
Ability to analyze complex technical problems quickly and develop effective solutions; attention to detail is critical for success in this role.
