1st Shift Production Welder: 5:00AM-3:00PM Monday-Thursday
Production Entry Level Welder 1 = $21.50-$24.50/hour
Experienced Welder Level 2: $24.50-$27/hour
Summary: Fits, tacks, welds, and cleans components and assemblies per customer and internal specifications by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Adjusts weld settings as appropriate for the specific application.*
2. Sets up work area for efficient processing and maximum throughput.*
3. Reads, understands, and implements all information and instructions included on job travelers and technical drawings.*
4. Verifies dimensional conformance of components being produced.*
5. Responsible for proper completion of all manufacturing and inspection documentation as required by company policies.*
6. Identifies visual and dimensional defects and ensures that potential problems are effectively communicated to your department lead or supervisor.*
7. Maintains minimum productivity requirements.*
8. Participates in developing new, efficient, and effective welding processes for new as well as existing product lines.
9. Contributes to any team with which you are working to ensure consistent product and cooperative communication.
10. Identifies and/or cooperates with potential opportunities for efficiency/productivity increases, and cost reduction strategies.
11. Responsible for absolute compliance with safety and PPE requirements.
12. Maintains a clean and organized work area.
13. Drives to assume the company’s commitments as your own and fulfills them with a sense of pride and urgency.
14. Performs other duties as requested by your supervisor.

Language Ability:

Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of data entry and intranet.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Specialized Training:
Technical Welding Certificate or equivalent may be used in lieu of experience
Equipment:
· Forklift
· Overhead crane
· Plasma cutters/torches
· Various hand and power tools
· Caliper, tape measure and any other measuring device

Welding Levels
Level 1:
- Understand and properly employ all appropriate PPE
- Consistently produce components at or above quality standards
- Reliably maintain the minimum acceptable level of productivity
- Actively support and participate in all officially sanctioned endeavors
- Openly communicate and share information with all interdepartmental personnel
- Actively maintain a clean and orderly work environment
- Level 2:
- Level 2 includes all requirements in Level 1 and the following additions:
- Reliably exceed the minimum acceptable level of productivity
- Reliably stay productive and focused without immediate supervision
- Demonstrated proficiency with current inter-departmental processes, including, but not limited to:
- Welding miscellaneous alloys
- Advanced fabrication techniques; torch cutting/heating/straightening, bracing, etcetera
- Robot welder
- MIG, TIG
- Various electrodes/fillers; hard wire, metal core, flux core, etcetera
- Spot welder(s)
- Demonstrate an understanding that encompasses several of the processes required to produce any single component
- Ability to quickly and accurately fabricate first run/new/prototype jobs
- Demonstrated ability to intuitively adapt processing methods to unanticipated changes in incoming product quality in order ensure consistent results
- Reliably maintain a pleasant and professional demeanor
- Demonstrated reliability of attendance and follow-through
- Demonstrated openness to new ideas, and active participation in the success of new projects and initiatives
- Consistently put forth the extra efforts required to ensure company success
- Reliably demonstrate above-average communication skills with other departments as well as your own.
- Level 3:
- Level 3 includes all requirements in Level 2 and the following additions:

- Demonstrated ability to develop and adapt sustainable processing guidelines for new projects
- Demonstrated desire to suggest, implement, and maintain efficiency and cost-saving improvement plans

- Demonstrated knowledge of processing techniques beyond what is commonly used in-house, and the ability to successfully apply it to new & existing projects in a manner that elevates company capabilities
