Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and skilled part-time Pastry Chef to join our culinary team. This dynamic role combines expert pastry preparation, ensuring the creation of exquisite baked goods and desserts while maintaining exceptional standards of food safety, presentation, and customer satisfaction. If you thrive in a high-volume kitchen environment and have a flair for innovative pastry artistry, this is your opportunity to shine!

Responsibilities

Prepare a variety of baked goods, including cakes, pastries, cookies, and other desserts with precision and creativity
Follow established recipes meticulously to ensure consistency in flavor and presentation
Create exciting dessert offerings for the restaurant and banquets
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including mixers, ovens, pastry tools, and refrigeration units
Maintain a clean and organized workspace adhering to food safety standards at all times
Assist in food production for special events or high-volume service periods while managing multiple tasks effectively

Qualifications

Proven pastry experience with a strong portfolio of dessert creations
Skilled in food preparation and pastry preparation techniques
Knowledge of food safety management practices and proper food handling procedures
Ability to operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
Excellent knife skills and proficiency in food industry standards for high-volume production
Strong attention to detail in recipe adherence, presentation, and cleanliness
Good communication skills with a focus on customer service when interacting with guests or team members
Basic math skills for accurate measurement and portioning of ingredients
Experience working in a fast-paced culinary environment with high-volume production demands
