Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. In this role, you will provide essential support to our Consumer Bankruptcy and/or Personal Injury departments. Your proactive approach and strong research skills will help ensure the smooth operation of our legal processes. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your contributions directly impact our success and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Assist attorneys with legal research.
Prepare and review legal documents, including bankruptcy paperwork, injury case pleadings, discovery, motions, and correspondence with precision and attention to detail.
Manage case files efficiently using our document management systems.
Conduct thorough document review for civil litigation support, personal injury cases, and bankruptcy paperwork.
Support client communication by drafting clear correspondence and maintaining professional phone etiquette.
Handle confidential information with integrity while ensuring compliance with procedural law requirements.
Assist in the preparation for court filings, hearings, depositions, and meetings by organizing materials and coordinating schedules.
Perform administrative tasks such as client intake, data entry, filing, proofreading documents, and managing deadlines to keep cases on track.
Support project management initiatives within the legal team to streamline workflows and improve efficiency across multiple cases or practice areas.

Experience

Proven paralegal experience ideally in personal injury and/or consumer bankruptcy.
Familiarity with Clio and/or NextChapter preferred.
Demonstrated ability to conduct comprehensive legal research using online databases and physical resources.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy under tight deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) for document drafting and data management; experience with Word processing and legal writing is essential.
Effective communication skills for interviewing clients or witnesses and liaising with attorneys or external stakeholders.
Knowledge of procedural law across various jurisdictions to support litigation activities effectively.
Previous experience handling confidential information responsibly within a professional legal environment is required.
