CT TECH for LEVEL 1 TRAUMA HOSPITAL

PM NIGHT SHIFT 7P-7A
Great pay + Paid weekly

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated CT (Computed Tomography) Technician to join our medical imaging team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in diagnostic radiology and a thorough understanding of advanced imaging modalities, including CT scans, PET scans, and mammography. This role requires a professional committed to delivering precise imaging services in a fast-paced healthcare environment, ensuring optimal patient care and safety. The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency in anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology, with a focus on emergency medicine and trauma center protocols.

Responsibilities

Perform high-quality CT scans and other diagnostic imaging procedures such as PET scans, mammography, DEXA scans, and X-rays with accuracy and efficiency.
Operate advanced imaging equipment while adhering to strict aseptic techniques and safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure patient safety.
Collaborate with physicians and radiologists to facilitate diagnostic evaluations, providing clear images for accurate interpretation.
Assist in emergency room procedures, including Level I Trauma Center protocols, ensuring rapid response to urgent cases requiring immediate imaging.
Maintain detailed documentation of procedures performed, patient information, and technical settings for accurate record-keeping.
Monitor patients during imaging procedures, providing reassurance and ensuring comfort throughout the process.
Stay current with technological advancements in nuclear medicine, sonography, and other diagnostic modalities to enhance service quality.
Uphold compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards related to medical imaging practices.

Qualifications

Certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or equivalent credential with specialization in CT imaging.
Proven experience working in emergency medicine settings, including Level II trauma centers and Level I Trauma Centers.
Knowledge of nuclear medicine procedures, PET scans, mammography, DEXA scans, and general diagnostic radiology techniques.
Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to diagnostic evaluation.
Experience operating advanced imaging equipment such as CT scanners and X-ray machines.
Familiarity with aseptic techniques and infection control practices within clinical environments.
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with medical staff and patient education.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in fast-paced healthcare settings while maintaining attention to detail.
