About Indiana Precast Inc.

Indiana Precast Inc. is a leading manufacturer of precast concrete products serving municipal, commercial, and infrastructure markets throughout Indiana and the surrounding region. With decades of experience producing high-quality precast structures — including manholes, box culverts, and box structures.

We are growing and looking for a driven, technically capable Sales Representative to join our team and help expand our customer relationships while managing projects from bid to delivery.

Position Summary

The Sales Representative is a hybrid role responsible for developing new business, maintaining existing customer accounts, and overseeing the successful execution of precast concrete projects. This individual serves as the primary point of contact for contractors, engineers, and municipalities — translating customer needs into accurate quotes, coordinating production schedules, and ensuring on-time delivery.

This is an outward-facing, results-driven role that requires both technical knowledge of precast products and strong interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

Identify and pursue new business opportunities with general contractors, municipalities, civil engineers, and developers across Indiana and surrounding markets
Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, ensuring repeat business and high satisfaction levels
Prepare accurate, competitive project quotes and proposals including material takeoffs, freight estimates, and lead times
Track and manage a sales pipeline; provide regular forecasting to senior leadership

Project Management

Serve as the primary customer contact from contract award through final delivery
Coordinate internally with production, engineering, and yard staff to ensure projects are manufactured on schedule and to specification
Review drawings and project specifications to confirm design compatibility and flag issues early
Manage submittals, shop drawings, and approval processes with engineering teams
Monitor project timelines, communicate proactively with customers regarding scheduling, and resolve delivery or quality issues as they arise
Coordinate logistics including crane picks, trucking, and site delivery requirements

Administrative & Reporting

Assist in resolving billing disputes, backcharges, or warranty claims professionally and promptly
Provide input to production planning based on upcoming project demand

Qualifications

Required

3+ years of experience in construction, project management, or a related field
Working knowledge of precast concrete, ready-mix, or civil construction products and processes
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, civil plans, and project specifications
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to job sites and customer locations throughout Indiana

Preferred

Experience with precast concrete manufacturing or a precast supplier
Familiarity with DOT, municipal, or utility infrastructure projects
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Business, or related field
