More Than a Job

As the bridge between our clients and our event teams, you'll help ensure every detail reflects the care, professionalism, and hospitality that define the Lynnwood Event Center.

Position Summary

The Event Manager serves as the primary point of contact for clients after an event is booked, guiding them through planning, coordination, and event execution at the Lynnwood Event Center. By building trusted relationships, collaborating across departments, and leading events with confidence, this role ensures every client receives an exceptional experience from planning through the final guest departure.

Reporting to the Assistant General Manager, the Event Manager partners closely with Sales, Operations, Culinary, and Event Services teams to deliver seamless events while supporting the District's mission of creating meaningful experiences that bring people together.

Key responsibilities include:

Serve as the primary client contact throughout the event planning and execution process.
Build trusted relationships by providing responsive communication and exceptional customer service.
Lead planning meetings and coordinate event details, timelines, room layouts, food and beverage, audiovisual needs, and special requests.
Develop and maintain accurate Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), room diagrams, and event documentation.
Coordinate event details across Operations, Culinary, Banquets, and Sales to ensure seamless execution.
Lead assigned events on-site, serving as the primary contact for clients and resolving issues quickly and professionally.
Supervise and mentor Event Services Coordinators while supporting departmental growth and development.
Identify opportunities to enhance the guest experience while maintaining operational excellence.
Support post-event billing, documentation, and client follow-up.

Job Qualifications & Requirements

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

Five (5) or more years of event management, convention services, catering management, hospitality operations, or related experience.
Experience managing complex events while delivering exceptional client service.
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Working knowledge of Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), event diagrams, food and beverage coordination, and audiovisual requirements.
Experience leading projects or supervising team members in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Experience with Microsoft Office and event management software.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.

The following qualifications will help you stand out:

Experience in a convention center, hotel, or full-service event venue.
Experience managing conventions, conferences, or large-scale events.
Experience supervising event coordinators or hospitality professionals.
Knowledge of the Pacific Northwest meetings and events industry.
