Full Job Description

Danch, Harner & Associates, Inc. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Civil CAD Technician to join our team. This position is ideal for someone with experience in civil drafting and design who enjoys working on a variety of land development and civil engineering projects.

This is a non-licensed position. An engineering license is not required. The successful candidate will work under the direction of experienced engineers and project managers.

Responsibilities

Prepare and revise civil engineering plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Develop grading, drainage, utility, roadway, parking, and site plans.
Prepare plan sheets, details, exhibits, and construction documents.
Incorporate survey information and field data into engineering drawings.
Assist engineers with design development, plan preparation, and revisions.
Perform basic drafting and design calculations as directed.
Review plans for accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
Assist with preparation of permit and construction plan sets.
Coordinate drawings and design information with surveyors, engineers, landscape architects, and other project team members.
Make revisions based on engineer and client comments.
Organize and maintain electronic project files and drawings.
Occasionally assist with field work, site visits, or collection of field information.
Other duties related to civil engineering and drafting as assigned.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience with AutoCAD; Civil 3D experience preferred.
Civil engineering, drafting, surveying, or related experience preferred.
Ability to read and understand engineering and construction plans.
Familiarity with grading, drainage, utilities, and site development is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good organizational and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently while also working effectively with a project team.
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or related education preferred.
No professional engineering license required.
