The Role: Executive Chef

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead the kitchen for an exciting new Coastal Hellenic dining concept opening in Wilmington, NC. This is a rare opportunity to be part of a concept from the ground up — shaping menus, building a team, and setting the culinary standard for a restaurant rooted in the flavors, technique, and hospitality of the Greek coast.

What You'll Do

Lead all culinary operations for a new Coastal Hellenic concept, from pre-opening development through daily service
Uphold the highest standards of quality, consistency, and presentation in a fine dining environment
Build, train, and mentor a strong kitchen team, fostering a collaborative and professional culture
Manage food cost, inventory, ordering, and kitchen labor in partnership with restaurant leadership
Work closely with ownership and culinary leadership to refine and evolve the menu
Maintain rigorous standards for food safety, sanitation, and health compliance
Collaborate cross-functionally with front-of-house and events teams to deliver a seamless guest experience

What We're Looking For

Minimum 5 years of experience in fine dining, with proven kitchen leadership
A true team player who leads by example and builds strong, positive kitchen culture
Passion for coastal and Mediterranean/Hellenic cuisine, with an appreciation for fresh, locally sourced ingredients
Strong organizational, financial, and communication skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume, high-standards environment
Availability for an immediate start

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive salary: $80,000–$100,000, commensurate with experience
