Full Job Description

Summary

Our growing construction company is looking for an experienced bookkeeper to assist in handling our day-to-day operations. Confidentiality, excellent organizational skills and accuracy are important qualifications for this position, as well as good customer relations and the ability to communicate clearly. The ideal candidate for this role is a skilled multi-tasker, is a reliable overachiever and is committed to consistently meeting deadlines.

Essential Functions

All aspects of full-cycle bookkeeping
Responsible for all payroll, A/R, and A/P functions
Finalizing and/or tracking all customer invoices for collections
File and record management archives as related to bookkeeping and financials

Accounts Receivable

Record project invoices timely into QuickBooks Online
Complete pay applications
Apply cash postings
Collect outstanding A/R

Accounts Payable

Match purchase orders to vendor bills upon receipt
Follow subcontractor invoice policies
Follow the A/P Process
Generate weekly/monthly aged accounts payable report

Monthly Financials

Close out completed jobs
Finalize all customer invoicing timely.

Payroll

Process payroll using third party processor
Oversee the periodic payroll tax filings
Prepare and distribute internal payroll documents as required
Prepare certified payrolls when required

General Ledger

Proficiently post transactions into accounting software
Reconcile all accounts monthly
Review all accounts for coding accuracy monthly

Experience/Education

Experience working in accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, payroll and payroll reports
Construction industry with pay application and certified payroll experience necessary
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, QuickBooks Online and Project management

Job Type: Full-time

Monday to Friday in office

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
