Tax Associate / Staff Accountant

Sadler Gibb & Associates is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tax Associate to join our growing public accounting firm. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent accounting graduate or an individual with 1–2 years of tax experience who is looking to build a long-term career in public accounting.

As part of our team, you will work alongside experienced professionals assisting entrepreneurs and owners of small to medium-sized businesses with tax, accounting, and advisory services. Our goal is to provide thoughtful guidance that allows our clients to focus on the growth and success of their businesses.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA candidate preferred
0–2 years of public accounting or tax preparation experience preferred
Experience preparing individual, corporate, partnership, fiduciary, or nonprofit tax returns is a plus
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
Detail-oriented with strong follow-through
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Positive, professional, and team-oriented attitude
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software; experience with UltraTax CS and QuickBooks preferred

Primary Responsibilities

Prepare individual, partnership, corporate, S-corporation, fiduciary, and nonprofit tax returns
Assist with tax planning and tax research projects
Support clients with accounting and QuickBooks-related questions
Assist with small business consulting and client advisory services
Prepare multi-state tax returns
Work closely with team members to deliver quality client service

Compensation
