Position Overview
We’re seeking an experienced Pre-Op/PACU Registered Nurse to join our Ambulatory Surgery Center team.

In this role, you'll guide patients through their surgical journey - from preparing them for surgery to providing attentive recovery care after their procedure. You'll serve as a patient advocate, working closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and fellow clinical staff to ensure safe, efficient, and compassionate care.

While your primary focus will be Pre-Op and PACU nursing, you'll also provide occasional break relief for circulating nurses, making this a great opportunity for nurses who enjoy variety while remaining focused on direct patient care.

What You’ll Do

Prepare patients for surgery, including assessments, IV starts, medication administration, and patient education
Monitor and care for patients in the PACU through all phases of recovery
Assess pain, nausea, vital signs, airway status, and overall recovery progress
Provide clear discharge instructions and patient education
Collaborate closely with surgeons, CRNAs, and the surgical team
Document patient care accurately within Nextech EMR
Maintain a safe, organized, patient-centered environment
Provide occasional break relief for circulating nurses while maintaining patient safety and sterile technique

What We’re Looking For

RN license in Washington (required)
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Prior experience in PACU, Pre-Op, Surgery Center, or OR, or other perioperative nursing setting
Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
Commitment to patient safety and exceptional customer service
Experience with circulating or intraoperative nursing preferred
