Registered Nurse (RN) – Pediatric Private Duty Home Care
Make a Difference Every Shift
Are you a compassionate Registered Nurse looking for a rewarding one-on-one nursing opportunity? Join our team and provide skilled, individualized care to a wonderful young male patient in the comfort of his home. This is an opportunity to build a meaningful relationship while helping him safely participate in everyday activities, learn new skills, and thrive in his environment.
About Our Patient
Our patient is a young, nonverbal male with a cheerful personality who enjoys engaging with those he trusts. Although he is nonverbal, he communicates effectively using an Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) device, along with gestures and nonverbal cues. He benefits from caregivers who are patient, observant, and willing to learn his unique communication style.
Primary Diagnoses

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
Seizure Disorder
High Elopement Risk
RN Responsibilities
Provide skilled one-on-one nursing care according to the physician's plan of care.
Monitor for seizure activity and implement appropriate nursing interventions.
Administer medications and monitor for therapeutic effectiveness and side effects.
Complete ongoing nursing assessments and report changes in condition promptly.
Maintain constant awareness of patient safety due to a high risk for elopement.
Support and encourage communication through the patient's AAC device and other individualized communication methods.
Utilize positive behavior support techniques and maintain a calm, structured environment.
Assist with activities of daily living while promoting independence whenever possible.
Collaborate with the patient's family and interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Complete accurate, timely electronic documentation.

We're Looking for an RN Who Is

Patient, compassionate, and dependable.
Comfortable caring for children with developmental and behavioral needs.
Confident in recognizing and responding to seizure activity.
Safety-focused with excellent situational awareness.
Interested in learning and supporting alternative communication methods, including AAC devices.
