Full Job Description

We are currently seeking a Line Cook for Margaritaville (Restaurant) located in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands to assist in preparing our breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus exactly to our Head Chef’s specifications. Line Cook duties consist of assisting the executive and sous chefs with their daily tasks. Successful candidates will play an important role in contributing to our customers’ experience and overall satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
Prepare food for service
Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
Answer, report and follow head chef or sous chef’s instructions
Clean up station
Stock inventory appropriately
Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

Requirements and skills

· Applicants MUST be authorized to work in the United States

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English
Passion for cooking and providing high quality service
Some cooking experience, especially any restaurant experience
Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
Familiar with industry’s best practices

· Previous experience in the USVI/Caribbean preferred
