Full Job Description

For nearly 80 years, CMCBrands has been producing men's and women's outerwear, casualwear, and uniforms under the Canyon Guide Outfitters, DKOTA Grizzly, and Stillwater Supply Co. labels, as well as private label apparel for major retailers. Our corporate offices are conveniently located in the Westport area of St. Louis.

CMC Brands is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Sales Operations Specialist to support our sales organization through trade show coordination, sample management, seasonal product preparation, and sales operations. This role is critical to ensuring our sales team has the tools, samples, and resources they need to successfully represent our brands throughout each selling season.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys managing multiple priorities, and is passionate about supporting business operations through organization, collaboration, and exceptional customer service. Reporting to the Customer Service Manager, the Sales Support Specialist provides operational support to the Sales organization by coordinating seasonal samples, trade show logistics, sales materials, and other key initiatives while partnering closely with Customer Service and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution.

Key Responsibilities

Trade Show Coordination

Coordinate all aspects of seasonal trade show preparation and execution.
Maintain the seasonal line plan and monitor milestone completion.
Register the company for trade shows and ensure promotional offers and show specials are entered accurately.
Prepare product samples, catalogs, marketing materials, and booth assets for each event.
Coordinate inbound and outbound freight with shipping carriers and logistics vendors.

Sample & Catalog Management

Prepare, package, and distribute seasonal garment samples and catalogs to sales representatives and customers.
Maintain accurate records for all sample and swatch distributions.
Process sample requests outside of the standard seasonal schedule.
Manage sample inventory and organize sample and swatch rooms.

Swatch Management

Maintain accurate labeling and organization of all swatches.
Update and replenish seasonal swatch books.
Coordinate swatch distribution to internal teams, sales representatives, and customers.

Seasonal Product Preparation

Pull garment samples from storage.
Steam and prepare garments to presentation standards.
Assemble catalogs and marketing materials for distribution.
Pack shipping crates and ensure all materials are complete and shipment-ready.

Sales Support

Serve as the primary contact for sample and swatch requests from the sales team.
Communicate timelines, sample availability, and shipping updates.
Create and distribute seasonal UPC lists, price lists, and electronic order forms to internal and external customers.

Additional Responsibilities

· Partner with the Customer Service specialist during periods of high volume by providing backup support for order entry, phone coverage, customer and Sales Representative communications, and other customer service functions as needed.

Qualifications

Associate's degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales support, customer service, operations, or a related field.
Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
Proven ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; advanced Microsoft Excel skills are preferred.
Experience working with ERP systems and shipping software is preferred.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
