Position Summary:

The Shop Porter supports the daily operations of Brewster Companies' shop and equipment yard by transporting parts, materials, and equipment between jobsites, vendors, and company facilities. This position is responsible for ensuring mechanics and field crews have the tools, supplies, and equipment they need to remain productive. The Shop Porter also assists with yard organization, equipment inspections, and general shop support while maintaining a safe and professional work environment.

Job Duties:

Deliver and pick up parts, materials, tools, and supplies from vendors, jobsites, and company facilities.
Transport small equipment to and from job sites as needed.
Coordinate with mechanics, superintendents, and project teams regarding delivery needs and schedules.
Assist with loading, unloading, securing, and staging equipment and materials.
Verify that delivered equipment and materials are complete and in good condition.
Maintain accurate delivery logs, receipts, and documentation as required.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns.
Assist mechanics and shop personnel with general shop duties and support tasks.
Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop, yard, and storage areas.
Assist with equipment washing, fueling, and basic inspections.
Support equipment mobilization and demobilization efforts.
Perform routine building and grounds maintenance tasks as needed.
Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Ability to safely operate pickup trucks, trailers, and small equipment.
Basic knowledge of construction equipment and tools preferred.
Ability to read and follow directions, maps, and delivery schedules.
Basic understanding of PPE and construction site safety requirements.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
