Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This role involves preparing high-quality meals, ensuring food safety standards, and contributing to menu planning. A background in fine dining or catering is preferred, as we aim to provide an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
Handle food safely and efficiently, following proper food handling procedures.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
Utilize knife skills for food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients.
Participate in catering events as needed, providing support for off-site meal service.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as necessary.

Skills

Proven experience in a kitchen environment, preferably in fine dining or catering settings.
Strong culinary skills with a focus on food preparation and cooking techniques.
Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
Excellent knife skills for efficient meal preparation.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
Experience in menu planning is a plus.
