Position is in city of Tracy, California 6 patient small facility

Overview

Join our dedicated caregiving team as a Live-In Caregiver, where you will provide compassionate, personalized support to individuals in a home setting. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of clients requiring ongoing assistance with daily activities, health management, and emotional well-being. As a Live-In Caregiver, you will be an essential part of creating a safe, comfortable, and engaging environment for those in your care, fostering independence while ensuring their safety and dignity are maintained at all times. This paid position is ideal for compassionate professionals seeking a rewarding career in home healthcare and senior care.

You will NOT have a private bedroom but will have a separate bed in 2nd family room corner And cabinets drawers to put your belongings. Must have experience and be willingly to change diapers multiple times a day without issues.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive personal care assistance, including helping clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using patient transfer methods and equipment like Hoyer lifts.
Monitor and observe patients’ health status by recording vital signs, recognizing changes in condition, and communicating updates to healthcare providers promptly.
Assist with medication administration following medical records and documentation protocols while maintaining strict patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Support clients with meal preparation, light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and laundry to ensure a safe and hygienic living environment.
Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) or Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems to document care activities accurately and efficiently.
Aid clients with mobility challenges or disabilities using proper patient transfer techniques and equipment to promote safety during movement or transfers.
Provide companionship and emotional support, engaging clients in meaningful activities to enhance their mental well-being and reduce feelings of isolation or dementia-related confusion.

Skills

Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, or geriatrics in assisted living or home healthcare settings.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medication management, catheter care, and end-of-life care procedures.
Ability to perform patient observation accurately, recognize signs of distress or deterioration, and respond appropriately with first aid or CPR when necessary.
Familiarity with home health care regulations, HIPAA compliance, and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and coordination with healthcare teams.
Physical ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts or patient transfer devices.
Experience working within home health agencies or hospice care environments is highly desirable.
