Full Job Description

Job Title: Phlebotomist,

Location: Concord, MA,

Shift: Thursday - Sunday Night Shift 4x10 - Hours (8:30pm - 7:30am),

Job Duration: 13 weeks contract,

*** Must be a local candidate living within 50 miles ***

Mandatory Qualifications & Skills:

Minimum 1 year of phlebotomy experience required.
Phlebotomy Certification required.
BLS Certification (Required).
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience with pediatric and adult blood draws strongly preferred.
Experience with Meditech and/or Mobilab.
Certified phlebotomy training preferred.
Strong phlebotomy and specimen-handling skills.
Ability to work independently and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic computer proficiency.
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Ability to maintain patient confidentiality.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Collect blood specimens from patients of all age groups, including newborns, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
Respond promptly to STAT specimen requests and prioritize urgent collections.
Accurately identify patients, enter test requests, and label specimens according to laboratory protocols.
Perform specimen accessioning and processing duties.
Transport specimens between departments as needed.
Assist with specimen processing and coverage of other laboratory areas.
Perform blood collection at nursing homes, patient homes, and satellite facilities as needed.
Assist with glucose tolerance tests, phone coverage, and other laboratory operations.
Maintain accurate documentation and required logs.
Follow laboratory, safety, regulatory, and confidentiality policies.
Support patient privacy, dignity, and service excellence.
Participate in quality improvement and safety activities.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Pay: $1,200.00 per week
