Full Job Description

Title: Administrative Assistant
Location: Freeport, TX

Salary: $51,200 - $69,800
Schedule: 9/80 or 5/8s

Focus: The Administrative Assistant (Training & OMS Support) provides critical administrative, training coordination, and Operational Management System (OMS) support to ensure efficient, compliant, and safe operations within a chemical manufacturing environment. This role partners closely with Operations, Maintenance, EH&S, HR, and site leadership to maintain training compliance, workforce readiness, and accurate operational documentation while supporting day-to-day administrative needs.

Administrative Assistant Essential Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive administrative support including calendar management, meeting coordination, communications, and document preparation
Coordinate employee onboarding, training schedules, site events, and workforce development activities
Administer Learning Management Systems (e.g., Saba, Workday Learning), including assigning training, tracking completion, and generating compliance reports
Maintain accurate training records and documentation to support OSHA, audit, and regulatory compliance requirements
Support Operational Management System (OMS) processes including document control, compliance tracking, and audit readiness
Prepare reports, dashboards, and metrics to support operational and training performance tracking
Partner with cross-functional teams (Operations, Maintenance, EH&S, HR) to ensure alignment on training requirements and operational priorities

Administrative Assistant Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent; Associates Degree* preferred
3+ years of administrative experience
Experience in in a manufacturing or chemical plant environment preferred
Experience supporting training programs, compliance systems, or learning management systems preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook; SAP experience preferred
Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills with high attention to detail; self-motivated and able to independently prioritize tasks, solve problems, and manage multiple deadlines with accuracy
Prior Olin experience in a relevant position preferred
Must possess a valid Driver's license
