Waylanders Delivery is a customer-focused logistics and final mile delivery company committed to providing exceptional service and operational excellence. With more than 175,000 sq. ft. of warehouse space across Florida, we continue to set the standard for dependable transportation, warehousing, and final mile solutions.

We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Dock Manager to lead daily dock operations and support our growing final mile delivery network.

Position Summary

The Dock Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day dock operations, ensuring freight is received, staged, scanned, loaded, and dispatched accurately and efficiently. This role plays a critical part in maintaining service levels, inventory accuracy, safety compliance, and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

Dock & Freight Operations

Oversee daily dock operations, including loading, unloading, staging, and movement of freight
Coordinate outbound loading of final mile straight trucks to maximize efficiency and load security
Ensure freight is properly scanned, documented, and prepared for delivery routes
Monitor dock workflow to ensure on-time departures and operational efficiency

Inventory & Receiving

Utilize scanning technology and warehouse systems to maintain accurate inventory records
Receive incoming freight and verify shipments against documentation
Inspect freight for shortages, overages, or damages and ensure issues are properly reported and resolved
Maintain organized staging areas and accurate freight tracking processes

Returns & Quality Control

Manage customer return processes, including inspection, documentation, and inventory reconciliation
Conduct quality checks to ensure freight accuracy and proper handling standards
Quickly address shipment discrepancies and operational issues

Team Leadership & Safety

Provide leadership, direction, and support to dock associates and warehouse staff
Enforce company safety policies and maintain a clean, safe work environment
Conduct routine safety inspections and promote operational best practices
Help drive accountability, productivity, and teamwork across the operation

Reporting & Administrative Responsibilities

Maintain accurate operational logs, shipment records, and performance reporting
Utilize warehouse management systems and other software platforms effectively
Assist with operational reporting and communication with leadership

Qualifications

Previous supervisory experience in a warehouse, dock, transportation, or logistics environment preferred
Final mile delivery or LTL experience is a plus
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Experience with warehouse management systems, scanning technology, and Microsoft Office
Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
High school diploma or equivalent required

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift, move, and handle freight as needed
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work in an active dock environment for extended periods

Pay: $70,000.00 per year
