Full Job Description

C&K Paving Contractors is seeking a motivated, professional, and relationship-driven Sales Associate to join our growing team. This entry-level position will work directly under the National Sales Manager (NSM) and play an important role in strengthening existing client relationships, supporting project opportunities, and developing new business.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, working with customers, and looking to grow in the construction industry. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, comfortable communicating with clients, and motivated by both individual and company success.

Key Responsibilities

Work closely with and report directly to the National Sales Manager.
Manage and nurture existing client accounts to maintain strong relationships, customer satisfaction, and long-term retention.
Support the National Sales Manager with project management and coordination.
Communicate with customers to understand project requirements, timelines, and expectations.
Collaborate with operations and other cross-functional teams to develop solutions tailored to each client's needs.
Assist with identifying and developing new business opportunities within existing and prospective accounts.
Attend trade shows, industry events, and marketing/networking events as needed to develop new relationships and strengthen existing ones.
Conduct property and project site visits as needed.
Maintain accurate and organized records of sales activities, customer communications, opportunities, and pipeline status.
Assist in gathering information and preparing bid packages and proposals.
Review bid packages with the National Sales Manager prior to submission to customers.
Follow up on opportunities, proposals, and customer requests in a timely and professional manner.
Represent C&K Paving Contractors professionally with customers, vendors, and industry partners.

Qualifications

Required:

Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Excellent organization and follow-through.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and opportunities simultaneously.
Comfortable working independently while collaborating with sales and operations teams.
Willingness to travel locally for property/project visits and attend trade shows or industry events as needed.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record sufficient to meet the eligibility requirements of the company's automobile insurance program.
Ability to satisfy applicable company background-screening requirements.

Preferred / A Plus:

Previous experience in construction, paving, property management, facilities, commercial services, or a related industry.
Previous sales, account management, estimating, or project coordination experience.
Familiarity with preparing bids, proposals, or construction-related pricing packages.

Construction experience and plan-reading knowledge are a plus, but we are also interested in candidates with strong sales potential, professionalism, and a willingness to learn the industry.
