Jamison Professional Services, Inc. (“Jamison”) is currently seeking a qualified and motivated candidate for the position of Medical Support Assistant.

Job Title: Medical Support Assistant – Aurora, CO

This is a 100% remote position for candidates residing within 50 miles of an eligible VISN 19 VA Medical Center.

DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES:

As a Medical Support Assistant, you will assist Veterans by scheduling appointments, coordinating community care referrals, maintaining patient information, and providing outstanding customer service while supporting VA healthcare operations

Hourly Rate: $22.99 + Benefits

Responsibilities:
 Schedule and coordinate patient appointments in accordance with VA policies.

 Process Community Care referrals using VA systems.

 Maintain accurate patient demographic information.

 Coordinate care with community healthcare providers.

 Answer incoming calls professionally and provide excellent customer service.

 Respond to patient and provider inquiries regarding services.

 Document information accurately within VA electronic health record systems.

 Monitor consults and appointment status to ensure timely completion.

 Utilize Microsoft Office Suite and VA applications daily.

 Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect sensitive patient information.

 Perform additional administrative duties as assigned.

REQUIRED AND DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

High School Diploma or GED

Must reside in the United States

Minimum of 6 months of customer service experience

Knowledge of medical terminology

Typing speed of 50+ words per minute

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Computer proficiency

Ability to work independently in a remote environment

Experience in medical scheduling or healthcare administration

Previous experience with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR)

Experience in a call center or healthcare customer service environment

Preferred: Familiarity with VA systems such as CPRS, VistA, HSRM, PPMS, CTM, or similar healthcare applications is highly desirable.

Location: Remote

Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm, excluding federal holidays.

Clearance Level Required: Employment is contingent upon successfully completing any required background checks, in accordance with applicable law.
