Salary & Compensation

Starting hourly rate $28 to $29 DOQ,
Up to 15% bonus via profit sharing program

The Office Assistant is primarily responsible for the following functions:

Answers phones and addresses customer inquiries in a prompt, professional, courteous manner.
Processes orders for fuel.
Reviews answering service emails each morning, responding promptly or forwarding to the appropriate party.
Exercises precise attention to detail when onboarding new customers.
Ensures that customer accounts are kept up to date, running repots on terminated accounts or accounts that have been inactive for two (2) years.
Ensures that customers are fully informed about special promotions and offers.
When necessary, contacts customers prior to deliveries.
Receives walk-in payments and forwards to the Business Manager for processing.
Assists with general office work such as filing, preparing paperwork, and scanning paperwork to customer accounts.
When necessary, addresses declined credit cards.
As seasonal needs dictate, sets up Service contracts and billing logistics, assists in contacting customers to confirm next-day appointments, and creates Service work orders.

Required Qualifications:

High school degree or equivalent.
1-2 years prior experience in customer service and administrative support
Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and remain calm and professional in all situations.
Ability to work extended hours as necessary, especially during peak demand seasons.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience with Ignite and Blue Cow software.
Prior experience working for a fuel company.
Bilingual in English and Spanish.
