We are a professional, fast-paced, and supportive team looking for an experienced Accountant / Accounts Payable Specialist who takes ownership of their work, pays close attention to detail, and can thrive in a high-volume environment.

What We're Looking for

The ideal candidate is :

Experienced in Accounts Payable, accounting, or a related role
Highly organized and exceptionally detail-oriented
Dependable, loyal, and committed to doing the job right
A self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision
Comfortable managing multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines
Strong with numbers, data entry, documentation, and problem-solving
Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
Knowledgeable in basic accounting principles and AP processes
A positive, professional team player with strong communication skills
Comfortable working in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment
SAGE 100 or similar ERP/accounting software experience is strongly preferred

Key Responsibilities

Process and verify vendor invoices, receiving reports, and related documentation
Perform daily AP data entry and assist with Accounts Receivable activities as needed
Match purchase orders, receiving documents, and vendor invoices
Research and resolve discrepancies by reviewing available records and identifying the source of errors
Prepare correction documents and supporting documentation when necessary
Maintain accurate and organized AP records and vendor files
Support overall document control for the AP department
Assist with inventory receiving and landed-cost processing
Verify incoming inventory and related documentation
Scan, organize, and maintain receiving documents and other accounting records
Prepare reports using information from multiple sources
Properly classify and organize accounting and supporting documents
Work closely with purchasing, receiving, inventory, and accounting personnel to resolve discrepancies and keep transactions moving
Assist with additional accounting and administrative duties as needed

Qualifications

Required:

Previous experience in Accounts Payable, accounting, bookkeeping, or a similar position
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Working knowledge of accounting principles
Strong Excel skills
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Ability to handle confidential and financial information professionally
Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team

Preferred:

Experience with SAGE 100 advanced or a similar ERP system
Experience with inventory, receiving, purchasing, or landed costs
Experience in a distribution, manufacturing, industrial, or valve-related environment
Experience reconciling invoices, receiving documents, and purchase orders

Compensation
