Full Job Description

Overview
Valeo Behavioral Health is seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing front desk operations, ensuring a welcoming environment for patients, and facilitating effective communication between patients and healthcare providers. The ideal candidate should also be proactive, possess the ability to multi-task, and work in a team environment. This role requires proficiency in medical scheduling and familiarity with phone systems.

Duties

Greet patients warmly as they arrive at the facility and assist them with check-in procedures.
Manage phone systems to handle incoming calls, schedule appointments, and respond to patient inquiries effectively.
Coordinate medical scheduling for various healthcare services, ensuring optimal use of provider time and resources.
Maintain accurate patient records and care plans in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
Assist in office management/ receptionist tasks and be able to work in a team environment in order to help maintain the organizations overall goals.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and processing patient information using the practices EMR system.

Requirements

MONDAY- THURSDAY AVALIBILITY
EVERY OTHER SATURDAY
Previous psychiatric experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role within a hospital or healthcare setting is preferred.
Familiarity with behavioral health terminology and procedures is advantageous, particularly in relation to care plans.
Proficient in using phone systems and medical scheduling software.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on providing exceptional patient service.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated in individual responsibilities.
1 months notice if possible
