Full Job Description

Overview
The General Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations of multiple family-owned restaurant locations in Topeka, KS. These locations include Vikings Grille, Thunderbirds Grille, Ichabods Grille, Captains Grille, and coming soon Amigos Locos Mexican Grille. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily restaurant operations, ensure outstanding customer service, and consistent brand standards across all locations. This leadership role manages staff development, financial performance, inventory control, customer satisfaction and compliance with company policies and health regulations. The General Manager works closely with the Regional Manager to implement business strategies, drive revenue growth, maintain a positive workplace culture and support the long-term success of the family-owned restaurant group.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage all aspects of restaurant operations, including food preparation, service delivery, and staff supervision
Oversee inventory control, food safety protocols, and adherence to health regulations to maintain top-quality standards
Implement and monitor POS systems such as Toast and Shift4 for seamless order processing and cash handling
Train, develop, and motivate staff through effective onboarding, ongoing training & development programs, and performance evaluations
Manage shift scheduling, ensuring adequate staffing levels for busy periods while controlling labor costs
Drive customer satisfaction by ensuring exceptional service and promptly resolving any issues or complaints.

Skills

Experience in restaurant management.
Proficiency in POS systems including Toast and Shift4; skilled in cash handling and financial reconciliation
Demonstrated leadership in supervising teams within hospitality management settings; excellent staff training & development skills
Deep knowledge of food safety standards, kitchen management, food handling, and culinary best practices
Proven ability to manage budgets, control inventory, and optimize food & labor costs effectively
Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on creating memorable guest experiences
Strong organizational skills with experience in shift management, food production oversight, and managing multiple restaurant functions

Pay: $63,000.00 - $86,000.00 per year
