Full Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized, hands-on team player to join our granite countertop fabrication shop. This role bridges the gap between the office and the shop floor. We will provide full, on-the-job training for CNC programming. In return, you will manage our daily production schedule and assist with physically setting up heavy stone jobs on the machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Scheduling & Coordination:
Coordinate daily and weekly fabrication schedules to ensure templates, cuts, and installations run on time.
Communicate proactively with sales, templators, and installation teams regarding project status.
Organize and prioritize shop orders to minimize material waste and machine downtime.
CNC Programming & Operation (On-The-Job Training):
Learn to read technical blueprints, engineering plans, and shop drawings.
Train on CAD/CAM software to program CNC machinery (bridges, routers, waterjets) for stone fabrication.
Learn to determine the correct cutting paths, tools, and speeds for various types of granite, quartz, and quartzite.
Physical Shop Setup & Production:
Assist with safely loading and unloading heavy slabs onto the machines.
Perform physical machine setups—locking in vacuum pods, calibrating tools, and verifying settings before cuts.
Monitor the machines during trial runs and conduct basic quality control of finished edges and cutouts.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn new manufacturing and scheduling software.
Ability to lift/move heavy materials safely using forklift and hand devices
Previous experience in a stone/countertop shop, woodworking, or manufacturing setting is a plus, but not strictly required.
Basic math and spatial reasoning skills.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
