Duties*

Assist pharmacists in preparing, dispensing, and managing medications accurately across various pharmacy settings, including sterile IV infusions and compounded medications.
Perform pharmaceutical calculations with precision to ensure correct dosages and medication orders.
Handle data entry tasks efficiently within pharmacy software systems, maintaining meticulous records of medication orders, inventory, and patient information.
Support patient care by providing medication information, answering queries, and ensuring timely medication administration while maintaining strict patient confidentiality.
Ensure compliance with all pharmaceutical regulatory standards, including state and federal pharmacy laws, drug regulation policies, and medical terminology protocols.
Conduct IV compounding and sterile IV admixture procedures using aseptic techniques to uphold safety and sterility standards.
Maintain accurate inventory levels, restock supplies, and assist with pharmaceutical regulatory compliance audits to support hospital or community pharmacy operations.

Experience*

Prior experience working as a pharmacy technician in LTC pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, or community pharmacy environments is highly preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of pharmaceutical calculations, drug regulation, and medical terminology related to acute care and critical care settings.
Hands-on experience with pharmacy software systems for prescription processing and data management.
Familiarity with sterile IV infusion procedures, aseptic techniques, and compounding medications in accordance with pharmaceutical standards.
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is desirable to enhance patient safety skills.
Proven ability to adhere to strict confidentiality protocols while managing sensitive patient information under state healthcare regulations.
Strong customer service skills combined with effective communication abilities to support patient service initiatives and team collaboration.
