Front Desk Administrative Associate

Full-Time | Bridgeport Village, Portland, OR

Join the City Home Team!

City Home is seeking an organized, customer-focused Front Desk Administrative Associate to be the welcoming face of our showroom. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping customers, thrives in a fast-paced retail environment, and has strong administrative and organizational skills.

As the first point of contact for our customers, you'll play an essential role in creating an exceptional shopping experience while supporting daily showroom operations. From processing sales transactions to coordinating customer orders and assisting the sales team, you'll help ensure every customer interaction reflects the quality and service City Home is known for.

What You'll Do

Welcome and assist customers in person, over the phone, and online.
Process sales transactions accurately using our POS system.
Manage customer orders and keep customers informed of order status and updates.
Provide exceptional customer service for both in-store and online inquiries.
Perform end-of-day sales reconciliation and cash handling.
Price, stock, and maintain merchandise throughout the showroom.
Support floor merchandising by helping keep displays clean, organized, and visually appealing.
Assist with occasional showroom floor moves and furniture placement.
Stay informed on current products, promotions, advertising, and company communications.
Communicate customer feedback, product requests, and service opportunities to management.
Support the sales team with administrative and operational tasks as needed.

What We're Looking For

Retail experience required (furniture or home furnishings experience preferred)
Previous administrative or front desk experience preferred
Experience with POS systems and general computer proficiency
Strong customer service and communication skills
Excellent organizational and time management abilities
Comfortable multitasking in a busy retail environment
Cash handling experience
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
Reliable and available to work a full-time schedule Wednesday through Sunday, 9:45 AM–6:00 PM, including weekends
