Position Overview

Home Perfect Exteriors is seeking a motivated, energetic, and customer-focused Outside Sales Representative to join our growing team.

This position is responsible for generating new business through neighborhood canvassing, storm-damage inspections, insurance restoration projects, referrals, and community relationship building.

As an Outside Sales Representative, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout their projects. You will help guide homeowners from the initial inspection through project completion while providing professional communication and a five-star customer experience.

Business Development and Canvassing

The Outside Sales Representative will canvass assigned neighborhoods and sales territories, build referral networks, develop community relationships, conduct exterior inspections for potential hail and wind damage, educate homeowners about the insurance restoration process, follow up with leads, and maintain a consistent sales pipeline.

Sales Representatives are expected to obtain a minimum of two new contracts per week through canvassing and prospecting efforts. They are also expected to knock a minimum of 50 doors per day on at least five separate days each week.

Designated prime canvassing hours are Monday through Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Sales Representatives must learn, memorize, and effectively use the approved Home Perfect Exteriors sales script during canvassing and customer interactions.

Insurance Claims Assistance

The Outside Sales Representative will assist homeowners with initiating insurance claims for storm-related damage, obtain signed authorization agreements and other required customer documentation, meet with insurance adjusters to document damage and review project scopes, and help homeowners understand the insurance restoration process.

All insurance-related communication must be handled professionally, accurately, and transparently.

Customer Service and Project Communication

The Outside Sales Representative is expected to maintain a professional appearance and wear approved Home Perfect Exteriors apparel with a clean and polished presentation.

All customer communication must be clear, respectful, positive, and professional. Representatives are expected to demonstrate initiative, enthusiasm, sound judgment, and a positive attitude in all customer and team interactions.

Customers must receive consistent communication, including at least one update each week throughout the project lifecycle. All customer communications must be accurately documented within company systems.

The Outside Sales Representative must clearly communicate project scopes, expectations, and timelines to both customers and Home Perfect Exteriors team members. Decisions should support customer satisfaction, project success, and company objectives.

Company Processes and Administrative Responsibilities

The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for ensuring that all customer files contain accurate information, photographs, notes, contracts, and required documentation.

Representatives must maintain an updated calendar containing appointments, inspections, insurance adjuster meetings, and canvassing activities. Weekly updates must be entered for all active customer files.

Company system notifications must be reviewed and responded to by 8:00 a.m. on the following business day. Assigned tasks must be completed by established deadlines.

Weekly reports summarizing canvassing activity, collections, active opportunities, and sales pipeline progress must be submitted by assigned deadlines.

All company policies, systems, procedures, performance expectations, and core values must be followed.

Qualifications

Previous experience in outside sales, direct sales, business development, or customer-facing sales is preferred.

Candidates should possess strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills. They must be able to build rapport, establish trust with homeowners, and remain comfortable with cold calling, door-to-door prospecting, and lead generation.

Candidates must be able to use CRM platforms, mobile applications, and sales technology. They should be self-motivated, capable of working independently, and able to collaborate effectively with team members.

Experience in construction, roofing, storm restoration, or insurance claims is preferred but not required.

A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required. Candidates must also be available to work designated evening and weekend canvassing hours.

Compensation and Benefits

This position includes a $1,000 weekly draw for the first three months and a 20% commission structure with uncapped earning potential.

Company will provide an iPhone, iPad, and Truck along with business cards and company apparel. Career advancement opportunities are also available.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with a Monday-through-Friday schedule. Evening canvassing is required, and Saturday or additional weekend work may be necessary based on sales activity, appointments, and business needs.

Work Location

This is an in-person position based in Chesterfield, Missouri 63005.

Candidates must be able to reliably commute to Chesterfield or relocate before their start date.
